Brass captain head plaque ashtray

This salty brass captain or fisherman is a charming fellow, with his pipe and his sou'wester hat perched on his head. He could be used as an ashtray or a coin catchall, or could be hung on the wall as well. The back has four little legs for stability and a piece for hanging on a nail. The back is also stamped with the words Belleville-Sargent which was a Canadian lock-making and hardware company in existence until the mid-1930s. 

A very well-made piece with all kinds of detail.

Measures 6 1/" x 5 1/8" x 1" and weighs about 400g / 14 ounces.
