A beautiful, heavily-embossed leather-bound edition of the 1846 version of the King James Bible, with a heavy brass clasp and inscriptions from the 1890s. Page edges are still brightly gilded. No loose pages. One fold-out section is creased and crumpled and the edges have some rubbing but overall this antique book is in great shape considering it is more than 125 years old.
Inscriptions read "Peter Johnston, born Steele County, North Dakota, Nov 21 1888" among others.
Measures 8" wide, 9 3/4" tall, 2 1/2" thick. Weighs 2.34 kg.
