Food grading stamp - vintage,

This vintage wooden stamp from a fish packing plant or cannery has food grade info on it that would have been filled in by hand afterward.

Made of rubber and plywood. Handle is solid hardwood - possibly maple. Stamped on one side with the words The Geo. H. Hewitt Co. which was founded in 1885 and is still in operation in Port Coquitlam.

Stamp itself reads: Min. Crude Protein 74%, Max Crude Fat 9%, Max Salt 2%.

Measures about 6 1/2" wide, 3" deep, and 4" tall.
